Staking Facilities joins the Chainlink Ecosystem as New Node Operator
Blockchains will only fully realize their disruptive potential if they can be connected to the “real” world. For that to happen successfully, off-chain data needs to be brought into the blockchain sphere by so-called oracles. Oracles enable smart contracts to retrieve data from outside the blockchain, ultimately extending the range of valuable application designs possible using blockchain technology. However, having a highly secure decentralized smart contract relying on a single oracle introduces a single point of failure and poses a threat to the security and reliability of the underlying application.
Chainlink’s Decentralized Oracle Network
Chainlink set out to solve this problem through a decentralized oracle network. This enables smart contracts to securely access off-chain data feeds, web APIs, and traditional bank payments, while retaining the valuable security properties of the smart contract via decentralization. The network consists of a global, independent set of node operators, which aggregate data together and feed it on-chain to consuming smart contracts. Chainlink is consistently selected as one of the top blockchain technologies by leading independent research firms such as Gartner. It is well known for providing highly secure and reliable oracles to large enterprises (Google, Oracle, and SWIFT) and leading smart contract development teams such as Polkadot/Substrate, Synthetix, Loopring, Aave, OpenLaw, Etherisc, Conflux, and many others.
Staking Facilities’ Chainlink Node
We are thrilled to announce that we are becoming part of this thriving ecosystem as a Chainlink node operator. Through our validation services for networks such as Tezos, Cosmos, the Open Application Network, Edgeware, and Kusama, we are experienced in running highly secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure. We deployed our core infrastructure at Tier 3+ data centers and use state-of-the-art monitoring to ensure high availability and security. We run multiple fullnode Geth nodes on our own bare-metal hardware, distributed for redundancy across multiple sites. This way, we can ensure that we always have access to synchronized Ethereum nodes without only relying on external providers, allowing us to provide solid reliability and uptime to services like Chainlink.
We are eager to support the community and ecosystem with our know-how, hardware, and services. We look forward to working together with the Chainlink team in order to accelerate the mass-adoption of blockchain technology.
